Terms of use
Last updated: 23 October 2026
These terms govern the use of the Spoonies app. By creating an account you accept them. Read them calmly, especially section 2.
1. Who we are
Spoonies is an app by Aída Caravello Gómez, tax ID (NIF) 21014587Q, with an address for notices at Calle Emili Ferrer y Gómez, 46470 Catarroja (Valencia). Contact: hello@spooniesapp.com.
2. Spoonies is NOT a medical app
This is the most important part of this document.
- Spoonies is a wellbeing and self-awareness tool: it helps you log how you feel, your anxiety episodes and your mood, and see patterns in your own entries.
- We are not doctors, psychologists or psychiatrists. Spoonies is not a healthcare service or a medical device.
- Spoonies does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any illness or disorder.
- Spoonies does not replace consultation, diagnosis or treatment by a healthcare professional. Do not start, change or stop any medication or treatment because of something you see in the app.
- Patterns, summaries, “saturation” and any other figure the app shows are hints calculated from what you log. They are not medical assessments and they can be wrong.
- The SOS exercises (breathing, posture, grounding, releasing tension, drinking water) are common self-care techniques. They don’t work the same for everyone. If one doesn’t feel right, stop.
- Spoonies does not monitor you or alert anyone. Your trusted contact is only there so you can call them yourself with one tap.
3. Emergencies
Spoonies is not an emergency service.
- In an emergency, call 112.
- If you have chest pain or tightness that doesn’t go away, you’re short of breath and it isn’t improving, you feel very dizzy or faint, or something feels different from other times, don’t treat it as anxiety: call 112.
- If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, call 024 (free, 24 hours, in Spain).
- Outside Spain, call your country’s emergency number.
4. Who can use Spoonies
You must be 18 or older. If you are a minor, don’t use Spoonies.
5. Your account
- You are responsible for your password and for what is done with your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete account.
6. Price, subscription and cancellation
Spoonies is a paid app. You need an active subscription to use it, unless your company gives you a seat (section 8).
Plans for individuals (prices include VAT):
| Plan | Monthly | Annual |
|---|---|---|
| Founding: only for people who subscribe before the official launch | €6 | €70 |
| Regular | €9 | €100 |
- Founding price for life: if you subscribe at the Founding price, you keep it as long as you don’t cancel your subscription or stop paying for it. If you cancel and come back later, the price in force at that time applies.
- Automatic renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (month or year) and is charged to the same payment method until you cancel it.
- Where you pay: on our website (https://spooniesapp.com), through Stripe, or inside the app, through Apple. What you buy in one place works in the app as long as you sign in with the same email.
- How to cancel:
- If you paid on the website: from the subscription management link you receive by email with every receipt, or by writing to hello@spooniesapp.com.
- If you paid in the app: from your iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Apple manages that charge; we can’t cancel or refund it for you.
- When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no minimum term.
- Price changes: if we change the price of a plan, we will let you know in advance and before your next renewal. If you don’t agree, you can cancel.
- Right of withdrawal: as a consumer, you have 14 calendar days from purchase to withdraw without giving a reason, by writing to hello@spooniesapp.com. If you have already started using Spoonies within that period, we will refund the amount for the days you haven’t used. In-app purchases are refunded by Apple, under its own terms.
- Invoices: we email you a receipt for every payment. If you need a full invoice, ask at hello@spooniesapp.com.
7. Your data
How we handle your data is explained in the Privacy policy. What you log is yours: you can export it or delete it whenever you want.
8. Using Spoonies through your company
If you join your company on Spoonies, it is voluntary, and taking part in its workplace climate is a separate decision you can withdraw whenever you want. Your company only sees aggregated data for groups of at least 5 people, never yours. More detail in the Privacy policy.
- Companies buy a number of seats. As long as your company pays and you hold one of those seats, your access to Spoonies is included and you pay nothing. If all seats are taken, you won’t be able to join until your company buys more.
- If your company stops paying or you leave it, you lose the included access. You can keep using Spoonies with your own subscription, and everything you logged is still yours.
- Companies’ payment terms are set out in their contract with us.
9. Acceptable use
Don’t use Spoonies for anything illegal, don’t try to access other people’s data and don’t try to get around the app’s security or privacy measures.
10. Availability and changes
- Spoonies is a new app. It may have bugs or change, and some features may stop being available.
- We do our best to keep it working well, but we can’t guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Don’t rely on Spoonies in an urgent situation: see section 3.
- If we change these terms in a significant way, we will let you know in the app before the change takes effect.
- If a fault on our side keeps you from using Spoonies for a significant time, write to us and we will make it up to you.
11. Liability
Spoonies is offered as a wellbeing and support tool, not as a medical service (section 2). To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for health decisions made based on the app. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you can bring a claim before the courts where you live and also contact the consumer services of your region.
